I was speaking with my daughter the other day, and she was telling me about a service project she was working on.
They had a Christmas party for an all boys’ school ages 5 – 13. (Under privileged) She was impressed at how happy the boys were to have a party. Plus how they were so excited to get a gift from Santa Clause. They also won prizes at the games they had that day. She said it made her feel very fortunate. For this is the only party they will go to, and probably the only gift they will get.
It made me sad that so many right in our area are in need. But at the same time I was impressed with my daughter. She gravitates toward the helping of people. She has an old soul, and she can talk to any age group. She has friends my father’s age, and can have a good chat with a 4 year old.
I have never met a kid like her. Granted she wants a car, and cloths just like any 19 year old. But she realizes just how fortunate she is. Even though she has only one parent. Maybe that is why she can relate to difficulties with others. She is unique. I think anyone who comes in contact with her is fortunate.

isn’t it awesome to see God’s faithfulness and even though she is the daughter of one parent, He is the Father of us all, taking care of all our needs…and wants. It sounds like she has an awesome parent too!
